The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. They have a full bar that stays open late. The only thing I would say that needs to be better is that they need to put a sign closer to the street to be seen because it was too far back. I passed by the hotel because I didn't see the sign. Something needs to be closer to the street, like the name of the hotel with an arrow pointing to the hotel. The location was great, especially if you have an event at the NRT Stadium. It's literally right by the hotel. We recovered this after we came back from our event and was so mad because we paid $30 for parking when we could have walked across the street into the parking lot of the stadium. The hotel had plenty of food restaurants beside it and stores. Wingstop, Papa's Bbq, Taco truck, Target, Krogers. You would not be disappointed if you were to book this hotel...

The young woman at the desk was very welcoming and friendly. There is coffee, a water dispenser, and an induction kettle just past the check-in desk, along with green tea bags and pump creamer for the coffee that is always available. The hotel itself has character -- the persimmon paint on the staircase, the small tables on the landing that looked like shelves of books, the welcoming and inspiring sayings posted around, the retro appliances in the room. Nice shower. The breakfast was buffet-style with eggs, sausage, biscuits with gravy, pancakes, yogurt, instant oatmeal, bread/bagels for toasting, cereal and milk, juice. Better than we expected! We were there for an appt at Houston Methodist, and they provided convenient transportation. :D

Bed were comfortable, staff was very friendly, within 1.4 miles from NRG center where my daughter was playing basketball in a tourney

Parking was great. Room was changed to one with a tub upon request. Clean and quiet.

It was pleasant. It is a little bit dated, age shows here and there. The bar and eating area were clean and well maintained. There were some ants in my bathroom, literally 4, I rinsed them down the sink and did not see any more. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room lighting was dim, bedside lighting would have been a plus. A desk/chair would have been a plus, too. Overall, it was good, I have to say the highlight of my stay was the bartender, T. He was exceptional company and provided great customer service, I don't think I could praise him highly enough.

I like that hotel provided free Uber service to and from medical center. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room was comfortable, especially the bed. The hotel was not noisy. I like the vintage decor. Breakfast was complementary and very basic, but enough to get you started for the day. It consisted of egg and cheese omelette, scrambled eggs, sausages, pastries, instant oatmeal, juices & coffee.

I loved the relaxed feeling I got once i entered the hotel. It wasn't suffocating and imposing. The staff was great. They were very nice and accommodating while also professional. The room itself was good. It had this chill vibe. I'm definitely booking here again in the future.

I really liked this hotel, friendly staff, great location, and free uber ride to and from MD Anderson. They had a pretty good hot breakfast also.

I came for 1 night to attend the Cowboy Carter show, and you can’t beat the location. The NRG stadium was in viewing distance, and the hotel was so kind & considerate to offer free shuttle service to & from the venue. Even though it’s a 10-15min walk to the entrance, that could be a little tough with all the bells, whistles, & heels we all had on. Thank you Mr. Gary and thank Hotel Ylem for hosting all of the concertgoers that weekend

Room was nice and expected for the price. For example, no fancy writing pad/pen/desk combo but it had what we needed. And when we needed a fan, the front desk let us borrow theirs for as long as we liked. Also, very cute decor.
